I can't fight that feeling.
It’s not where I should be.
I can't shake the darkness that’s taken hold of me.

I feel around in blackness
Lost, alone and cold.
Looking for that hand for me that’s happy, warm and bold.

Left here in the stillness
with the voices in my head.
Trying to remember to ignore words once said.

“Don't think you're so important
No one needs you girl,” He cried.
Pushed her down, forgot her, completely killed her pride.

So if You see her happy smile
without direct demand.
Maybe, just possibly in the dark she found Your hand!

It's amazing how many emotions our hands can tell, and an openly inviting is definitely among my most favorite.

Thanks for sharing.

Ah, Raven, a powerful poem of pain and optimism.

The lyrical quality compels her hopeful yearning.

Well done!
