Sorry if my title sounds corny, but that's exactly how I feel. We need more poems like that; poems which simply go about celebrating life with not much fan fare.
This poem could also be a very nice added flavor to most parties. Think for example about any type of bridal party, coed or a bride’s mate party! What’s not to like? Food and playful allusions to sex are combined; It even seems that men are liked here (not your fault, lady, so many reads here vent anything but sympathy to the opposite gender) <P>
If people follow my recommendation, remember to ask the author's permission!
What does the world comes to! For the first time, the Don and I agree on something in our comments - and what a nice place for a first! Poetically though, how do you square a poem which is based (no pun intended) on extended imagery of menan being served as the main ingredient, then handled and eaten (in more than one way) - with any prospects for the most important command in your take of your bible: namely, procreation?
Know what, you don’t have to answer that. Maybe it’s better if we stay on what we agree: we like this poem!
