Absurd
my parents say I am,
"you think WHAT?" they scoff at me
"you are such a simple boy"
they shake their heads and sigh
to think like that is just..
Absurd
to fall in love with her
she could never love me back,
with so many rivals near
Dreams of winning her heart
Continue, even if they're...
Absurd
to try to reach that goal
even though I seem to see a path
I am told it can't be done
"you can't get there from here"
they don't want to know how
Absurd
To believe we are free
to live life as we would choose
Do you dare fight intrusion by powers that rule
when to do so would be...
Absurd
To feel adoration yet,
rancor for the same person
invest all into battles
to win a poison prize
zealous self destruction...
Absurd
try to foretell the future
from a cryptic history book
shun loved ones in futile search
for a glass kept out of reach
blind to daily joy, that is..
Absurd.
