by Liar
"and lull a raging mountain
to sleep."
...is too close to the truth for a liar! I liked the metamorphic treatment of the adjectives, forcing them into stone nouns.
Very powerful writing; an inexorable tectonic force behind these words.
...a poet writes something wonderfully personal but relating to every man. For me this is such a poem. Perfection in the choice of words and images. If I could I'd give it 10 AND an "E".
(a five but no therm. from me)
i find this very broad and deep / and as solid as it gets /
all been said.
so I'll just say one of the strongest poems I've ever read.
Thank you
Do you never write any AVERAGE poetry? It's just not natural!
(thermometer left at default and does not reflect my vote)
and had to look up deliquesce. how could i not when the poem startled me with it's intensity?
breath-taking.

Sounds like all of creation speaking
Through the mind of the poet
Formerly known as Liar
Though his words aren't any weaker
Coming from MinorMonster.
Very powerful indeed.
This poem was mentioned in the Archival Review thread, in a picking through Lit's archive of over 34,500 poems.
