Far beyond sandy beaches
there's a depth that's still waiting
where lovers long
to find themselves swimming.

I would ask you to come with me
and discover the treasures
that await such a journey.

For I can see in your eyes
your soul is still searching
longing for something
that gives meaning to all.

I know you're not ready
to swim quite the distance
but if you take hold of my hand
here in the beginning
we'll stay in the shallows
until you are ready.

Then discover together
the beautiful nature
of being swept up by currents
that carry us further
then any two souls
have ever dared dream.

beyond

The force of this realistic poem makes you want to wade out until it sweeps you out into the current of understanding.

~~

More to life

Than playing on the beach;

It gets too humdrum

When there are still the depths to explore.

happy sigh.....

Very romantic. It made me smile and want to dip my toes in the water. Thanks.

I Dont think

it's hopeless.

you are learning and will learn the longer you stay here.

There's no pressure.

Write and learn and save some of your early work and compare it a month or a year from now

Keep writing you'll get better every day

: )

A hopeless case

But after correcting a couple of typos in the first stanza, it may sound even more like "Literotica poetry":

Just inside horny bitches

there's a depth that's still waiting

where lovers long

to find themselves swimming.

Beautiful Imagery!

The last strophe (i think it's called strophe) in the poem really seems to stick out in my mind. This poem possessess excellent and soothing imagery. Hopefully all of us will one day be truly swept away "Beyond Oceans." Well Done!
