All Comments on 'Brother Zero'

I can feel all the angst in this poem. Someone close to me is an alcoholic and killing himself slowly. Your writing reminds me of the pain, the rage, the disgust, the helplessness, the pity, the sense of loss; that I feel whenever we speak or see each other.

All I know for sure is that I must keep myself whole and together and get on with my life. It is not my fault, nor yours, the choices that people make. Our responsibility is to be good to ourselves and to try to live our best lives, despite our past and/or present circumstances.
