This is what it must feel like
To be caught in the orbit
Of some celestial body

Endlessly circling round
Held between conflicting gravitational forces
Pulling in and pushing out

The view is heavenly
And yet I find myself
Wanting to break this atmospheric stalemate

But I am always kept at a distance
One of many floating by
Taking their turns about

Waves swell as I pass
An arc of light shines about
And I think this is the moment

But then night returns and I rotate away
Thrust into the darkness
Desperate for the next horizon
