I don't always check new poems, sometimes for days. I would have so hated to miss this. It doesn't and it does read like a poem, and I like that. I like that it seems to go beyond being just a poem. And I love the way you present the image. I'm saving this for future inspiration.

Nothing to add.......

....except I agree with all the previous comments and to add that I read, not only read but REALLY looked at, this piece of art. It's masterful.

Extraordinary

and virtually flawless.

One of the most exciting pieces I've seen here in a long while.

I loved the short verses and the repetition of " But more on that later"

I would agree with Charley H, I think your best work so far.

Thank you

Fernando would be proud of you :-)

I agree with NJ--this is more than a poem: it's performance art. Of course the poem is excellent, but the idea to break the photo into pieces and intersperse them with strophes is brilliant. In less capable hands it could have been bungled badly, but you my friend nailed it--as usual!

oh!

This is not a poem, but an experience. I wanted to pick the lines i liked best but could not decide. I agree Lauren, you are excellent all the time, but you have outdone yourself here.

congratulations!

Best to date

While I am an obvious fan of all your poetry, I must say that this is by far your best to date, or at least this poem has replaced my favourite of yours before it and so on. Familiar with Pessoa and even the statue in the pieces of the images, you've crafted an incredibly rich and smart illustrated work that's well worthy of an E. Thank you for it. C
