I stand before you Trembling,
Legs unsteady
heart racing

I study every curve and line of your face
Mapping favorite spots
Locating the places I long to kiss

My hand touches your cheek
your lips part
I hear your breath quicken

Gently I brush a stray hair back
Revealing wide eyes
Deep brown pools

You smile and whisper my name
My chest swells
At once I am entranced

Drawing closer
Breathing deeply
Inhaling your fragrance

But the mind is stubborn
And questions the heart
Doubts arise and I turn away

But before these fears take hold
Before I succumb
You touch me

You touch me
And heal me
With words soothing my heart

Love beareth all things,
believeth all things,
hopeth all things,
endureth all things.

And suddenly I am made whole
