Pondering

the vastness of time and space. grasping that concept always fails me. your poem makes it ever more so poignant.

Now here's one view of

Man's frailty and insignificance;

Another would have the wondrous nature

Of man so tiny

Grasping the infinity of all existence.

A very nice surprise!

After the barrage of… actually, let’s not go back to it. This is fresh and original and the imagery is interesting, even touching! I did not see so much an acceptance of the vastness of the universe vs, the tiny dimensions of human life as I take previous posters did. I saw yearning and hope even if it’s temporary for breaking through the mystery of the universe. I saw some doubt too, reg. the direction towards which we should aim our search: up to the skies or down to our own earth (which is quite deep). I don’t say ‘stay celestial’, but I do like you being contemplative – very much!

why?

I wish you'd explained why the milky way has been your life. Your poem really doesn't expand this metaphor and hence, leaves me curious. I do like the word choices and line breaks.

Thanks for giving your poem to the masses.
