Roses

the thin red line stands proud
it's wicked curve underlying the delivery
swift and sharp

a second line joins the first
a little fatter and not quite parallel
but punctuated at the end

a red, full stop

Soon there are many
each telling it's own story
told with the fragrance

of rose stems

petals lie forgotten
scattered on the floor
next to discarded panties
