Nice nice nice! Can't really comment on it because it's so good - know what I mean?
But to tell you the truth, I almost did not read it because of the first line. I have no suggestions, I think you need what is there, but you realize the need after you read it.
And this is funny, exactly how you were first discribed to me, like an implosion, drawing the observer in till he is there, you.
but your poem goes deeper than coffee, beneath the darkness you have uncovered truths...about people and "how" they are. You deserve more than a mere green E. and congrats on ME"s success!! totally deserved

Now I know what I may be missing
As I placidly sip my own tall Suisse Mocha
Courtesy General Foods;
Not quite the same as Starbucks
Especially in price;
But your words here —
A bargain at any price.
Pssst - nice going on that 'E'
Indeed a heady brew
such complexity to our mornings
a perfect way to start my day
with a wide array of wonderings
and such a sly smile of delight
from foam tipped corners of your mouth
i need no sugar to sweeten my mornings
only shining words from you
I likes coffee poems a lots.
I don't often turn to the new poems page anymore, but was surprised to see one from you, Anna. Thanks for posting. And you are beautiful, ya know.
