Very nicely done. Just one suggestion.

I think that 'forward and sideways at once,'

is a bit redundant and as a result takes away

from the beautiful image you created with

'The face in between

a Picasso mosaic,'

To me anyway, it feels like you don't trust the

reader and you are explaining what 'a Picasso mosaic'

is. By the way I really love the image created by

'a Picasso mosaic.'
