I know

warm raindrops on my skin

make me want to dance,

the lion’s command

and the stretch of ageless mountains

can reach me where I stand.

I know home.

I know

the shattering of time

caused by the meeting of souls

can’t be stopped or controlled,

an inhalation so sublime

continually makes me whole.

I know joy.

I know

the promise in your eyes

is a silence I believe,

your bites and kisses I need

As proof of sighs, aches and desires.

whisper my name and I

will surrender

forever.

I know you.

I know love.

Beautiful ❤

So moving

This made my heart ache and feel with emotion it brought tears to my eyes.

Softly

Sweetly

Tears drip from my lashes

I know love

And I know passion

Thank you for the poem of heart

I will never forget it

As my eyes close and dream

Thinking of love and sweet embraces

And little kisses

I feel so alone

With not a warm body pressed close at night

But this poem brings me hope

For a future

Thank you.

For now I can finally cope.

And sleep

Sweetly

Softly

In the air of the night

Loved it!!!

I loved the poem so much that I am hoping that you will let me use it in my wedding as part of my vows. If not I will understand, but a love that is like theirs is close to my love for my own mate. So please say yes...please.

beautiful. just beautiful. is complicated to enjoy another language, and even more in a poem, but I really like it.

I just finished reading I know what I'm doing, and I was so happy about to share the seasons (you know, that thing of snow in christmas doesn't work in this part of the planet, here we eat watermellon and go to the beach instead). that was a very good story, so tender, and the plot was interesting, all I wanted to know was More, more, more. Love the weird pair of Js that speak in half sentences that the other finishes!!!

congratulations, your work is very good. keep writting, please.

greetings from Chile.

This poem is beautiful.

I don't even know what to say, except that it is marvelously incredible.

You may claim not to be a poet, but the words speak for themselves.

Thank You

Firstly: thanks for the votes and kind words.

Next: Shire, the poem is all yours for your future wedding, lol - I'll be there in spirit.

And, lastly: Yes, this poem was written to go with the story, "I Know What I'm Doing" - but also intended to work as a stand-alone. I'm no poet, but I am an emotional being and hope that, at the very least, that came through. Again, thank you.

Blessings,

AH
