Imagining You
When I read your poetry
I think
of you.
Faceless
ageless
raceless
sometimes
sexless
unknown
time zones
separate us.
As you write
you give
and gift
tiny fragments
of yourself
and etch them
into
timeless memory.
Shadows of
lives lived,
some loved
and lost
and some loved still,
emotions felt
and spent,
hard gained
knowledge shared.
Ephemeral
anonymous
and veiled
by words
you hopelessly
intrigue me.
I often
wonder
who you
are?
And
what
you are?
And think to know
your hidden nature.
And then
I don't.
Preferring
to imagine you
honest
pure
beautiful
like your poetry
and not
imperfect
and
human
just like me.
and the thoughts roll on and the wonder grows.....
You capture that nicely :)
