In dusk, I'm trapped between
darkest night and blinding day,
Her breasts rise and falls as
her shadow shows me the way

I kiss her mouth, her eyes glow
like gems on a precious ring,
Skin the color of pearls, a
raven with a broken wing,
Words that speak the silence
of the queen who needs no king

Thunder in my heart, lightning
in my veins; now wide awake
to a brand new moon, the sky
as black as a bottomless lake
