It is better to ignore
Than look for you
You have become scarce as of late
It is beyond what I can hope for
Your interest in me is waning
I need to accept that now
The memories of the beginning
Lead to happy tears
That quickly go sad
So it is better to not remember
You are not what you were then
And I am missing that part that I gave
But like before
I will be brimming with hope
When another takes that empty space
So I will take this brief moment
And acknowledge you in passing.
