With a few words or a phrase in my head,
Or even something someone has said.
I write them down on a pad or in my phone,
Trying to organize them until they're ready to be shown.
Sometimes they jump right into place,
Other times that's really not the case.
The words that truly come from the heart,
Yeah, those are the ones that make a good start.
I'll read them to you and not the crowd.
Even if it's embarrassing to say them outloud.
When I see your smile or that glint in your eye,
That sends my heart flying, racing for the sky.
For me that really is the best part,
For then I know you took them to heart.
