Kintsugi the golden repair.
Unique, random, beautiful.
Cracks are shiny, revered.
Oh but the cracks!
They are there!
Forgotten by their beauty.
Dismissed.
But do not forget.
Cracks were made by stress.
By anger.
By sadness.
Gold can be a distraction.
It masks the cracks.
The pain.
The loneliness.
But the cracks are still there.
Always.

Thanks for bringing this art to attention - something newly learned today - and giving it a deeper meaning.

My respect for those who can heal the cracks - especially referring to the double-meaning - what a loss if it was all broken shards only. While still there, the cracks bring in something new to what was of innocent (whole) beauty before.

It's still 'beauty that lies in the eye of the beholder', and some find such in cracks as well.

Thanks for this thoughtful one.
