grown in a petri dish

and nourished on agar. Does love withstand microscopic examination? I like how you blend your 3 metaphors into one simple illustration. Very nicely done.

This poem is mentioned in the New Poems Review thread on Literotica's Poetry Discussion and Feedback forum.

A very simple, softly suggestive, and sensuous piece.

Excellent work

This is tight, perfect and evocative. Not a word out of places. Very well done.

fraught lives under investigation

The image brings with it much to investigate…. Does investigated love or relations brings with it heightened awareness to all that there is in it, thus leads to more acute sense of loss? Or does the magnifying glass allows you (perhaps at the same time) better see the qualities which will soon lead to the end of the relations; to look at the disappearing traces with more distance as if through a microscope at a distant microbe rather than into our own fraught lives.
