Both cars in the far corner of the car park,
Away from the customers and cameras.
Out of the rain on the rear seat of his,
The first hungry kiss,
The fumbling fingers seeking the other’s desire.
The gasp in unison as two become one,
The gently moving car with the steamy windows,
The stifled murmurs and the sounds of sex,
The ten minutes of pleasure before the moment of release,
The few seconds of contentment before the awkward uncoupling,
The struggle to regain composure in the face of reality,
The short sad goodbye and the return to the rain,
Would it ever be longer than a Wednesday lunchtime?
Would it ever be at least a night?
Would it ever be anymore?
