I read through the poem, and wasn't overly impressed until the very end, with the line 'please don't forget me', up until that point it was just a poem to a lover, but that line struck me as something deeper, a cry of loneliness or desperation. It's like the love wasn't mutual, or wasn't as important to one side, and that turned the rest of the poem into a more significant piece. I liked that tone, good job.
