An inspiration of beauty
Thinks that writing is a duty
That words can fall like rain
But my mind fries, as the ink dries
The mental ego slain

The candle flicker flatters features
That are sculpted of fine pale stone
But will this sultry Nordic creature
Still look the same when the night is done

This flaxen shrouded image of grace
With bounding youth and pouting lips
Wears a halo of light about her face
An oasis where brave men take sips
Of nectar, sweet and cloying till
Their body lies, sated and corpse still
