Why is lusting over ones body considered objectification?

Are we not fully aware of the quality of our minds?

Are we not aware of what is deep within our souls?

Why are we in denial of our desires and place our heavenly bodies in a sinful category?

Is growth not our main concern?

If it is, we must accept our selves to the fullest extent.

We should always have the intent of self acceptance and be conscious of when others are aware of the beauty that we possess.

We should refrain from being negative of those who lust over us; accept that you are beautiful and desirable.

Winter_Fare thank you for you comment. I love your example of an apple. I wonder if an apple did have the ability to be self aware, would it at times be happy that they provide people pleasure not only being defined by the pleasure it brings as nourishment but also being a first class choice representative of the letter "A". Me myself, I love providing acts of service to others and I also love that my body and appearance can also be visually stimulating to the eye (either through Motivation of inspiration or desirability). I feel that I work hard and put effort in providing acts of service to brighten and uplift people.

Lust is an appetite. Sexuality, a flavour to be savoured. Appearances, desirability? They say more about the observer than the observed.

An apple is an apple, my perception of its flavour doesn't change what it is, but if it were self aware and subject to human emotion, being defined by its flavour might be offensive to it?? :)

I don't know.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder or something x
