I liked this. It reminded me of the female archetype throughout history that has frightened men in patriarchal societies. Eve never met the devil. Men frightened of female sexual power made Eve meet the devil. The scary thing is such fear remains strong in many cultures today.

I might have added midwife to the list.

While on this topic , in ancient India Mother Kali

was always depicted as a Victorious , Nude , Amazonian Warrior Mother Goddess , but then Victorian England enslaved my Motherland & the f------n' British Raj put on a prudish Sari & Blouse on My poor Mother Kali !?! Somewhere Mother wept !
