I read it in a comment

1.) I am glad editing is not technique you still don't sneer at.

2.) this is a real comment:

Blank pages upon scribbled I have

the inverted syntax here is neither a plus not minus, just pointing it out, often it is a minus. However, "upon scribbled".

I did not vote

I read it in a comment too :-)

and I found it streets ahead of anything I could ever hope to achieve with my inane little attempt :-)

I can't comment on whether this is a great work of poetry as it's obvious my talents do not lie in that direction.

I can only comment on what I took from it when I read it. Though the author expresses his thoughts in terms of poetry, I've felt the same frustration when it comes to prose, particularly when the muse packs up and I can't find the words to write. So I could relate in that regard.

I'm glad this is no longer just a comment somewhere and is a submission in its own right.

Interesting

As a would be writer I often feel the anxiety of the blank page. I fear it for it is a great and terrible thing. Great in that it offers a universe of possibilities, and terrible in that it reminds me that filling it is solely my responcibilty. I have discovered that to write I must accept imperfection. I am not a poet and cannot profess to a love for poetry either, but your poem did achieve one thing with me. It made me think and examine my own struggle with the page. If that was your intent then you succeeded.
