You were just an internet diversion
No voice to utter obscenities in my ear
No hands to molest my body
No lips to taste every inch of me
Just words on a screen

You liked to brag
About being a great lover
Not like the other “little boys” I know
No, you claimed to be a
Real man

But real men don’t make promises
they don’t intend to keep
They don’t play games
Saying one thing
And doing another

I’ve waited far too long for you
And I’ve slid beyond frustration
I’ve forsaken other men
Hoping that you were
Real …

My foolish dreaming heart
And love-starved cunt
Are no longer at your disposal
I’ll seek someone true
To bestow these gifts upon

A man with a face
A voice
A firm hand
Who makes me tremble
With his threats

A man whose violent love
Breaks me
Molds me to his whim
His desires
Becoming my own

You could have been the one
To claim me
You came close with just words
But I’m moving on
I promise

Really the right place to ask what's 'real' behind our online masks - maybe the desire to feel be noticed and admired. But without the feathers and colors we can put on in reality, and the hands only touching the screens and keyboards, what's left other than attractive words to wrap ourselves in?

The twist to a confident, self-determined tone: perfect.
