I’ve wondered how men feel about this and love how you express it. When you are with a group of women in a social setting, can you tell which ones are menstruating? Do you think about this?

Menstruation is certainly not my cup of tea, but have read this piece several times. A bit squeamish about the subject matter, but reading it several times must mean your writing brings a flavor to my eyes. Well done my worshiper of womanhood.

Yes, I do wonder about the women in a social setting, and where they are in their cycle. But can I tell? PMS might be apparent, but menstruating? Hmmm…how would I know if I am correct or not? Ha!

However, if I see or meet a woman who has me imagining what it would be like to give her oral pleasure….I will also wonder what it would be like if she were on her period when I serve her with my tongue….

And yes, I do feel as though I am a “worshipper of womanhood”!

I really like your word choice and word play. I was never squeamish about menstrual blood, and in fact saw it as a delicacy, like steak tartar. And this poem has the same tone. Not sure I understand the ending though, b/c your act is heroic in ways, not to be belittled?
