If only I could remember,
The moments of virtuous green,
Embedded in that glowing amber,
Like those eyes that I've seen.

If only I could kill this spleen,
And embrace the haunting reality,
That hides within my every gene,
An unfigured product of causality.

I've always failed. To resonate the lost chime,
For I am a remnant, dwindled in the time.
