Bring me roses
I fear I can’t recall their scent or colour
Heavy heart and burning eyes
Eclipse the knowing

All this dolour drags me down
Bring me roses
Give me something jagged
That can cut this weight from me
Before I drown

Let me take them in my hand
And shear the sorrow from my bones
Lift my heart and take me home
Bring me roses
