The instant I saw her I was irresistibly lured
to a table in the corner where she sat secluded
I approached with a manner that I hoped was assured
Oblivious to the ease which hearts are deluded.

My swagger was peerless but byond her detection
I could see she was lost deep in thought
I knew i shouldn't disrupt introspection
Any phrase i could turn was for naught.

I was stopped in my tracks I could only admire
One so lovely with much more to impart
So many virtues she owns to capture desire
She must be the one I could trust with my heart.

So I stood like a rock my future before me
A woman with such beauty and intellect
Standing in the dark all alone I could see
Such a prize i must surely select.

What mere words could impress this intelligent girl?
Would she see our fates grand design?
How could I seize such a valuable pearl
To ensure that our lives would entwine?

Al last I dared to disturb this fair lass
I approached the chair where she sat
But before from my lips any words could pass
She looked up to ask me "Does this dress make me look fat?"

I'm still drawn in..wanting to see what happens! And yes. I still laugh at the ending. ❤

What a cliffhanger one's imagination is left with. Is this the end?

Brilliantly caught the inner process of 'how I wish she would be the one...oh'
