Serenity of soul and peace of mind
Are things that we as humans often seek.
But just the opposite is what we find
And in that finding think that we're unique.

We know that peace of mind is not for sale,
But oft we look for it in things we buy.
It's missing there and we are doomed to fail
As feelings of despair intensify.

The peace our soul is seeking can be found,
But not where we now are or where we've been.
It comes when our best thoughts are outward bound
and not when all our good is kept within.

Serenity and peace for mind and soul
Are found when they're a gift and not a goal

Nicely flowing sonnet with some deep truth about sharing. Thanks for sharing these lines.
