SHADES OF POETRY

1. IN TIME

In time, in one wind of magical moments
I’ve put your memory
Suspended in a dream
That whenever I’m lonely
I have only to unwind
These moments…
And its magic enchants me no end…
Even forgetting the fact
That I’ve lost you
In this same mazes of dreams…

2. THE MISTS

The mists come
Soft to the eyes
Yet, when they embrace you
They remind you of some friends
Who would only lend
Their presence
Never their warmth…

3. RAINS

I love to see the rains
Falling in my window panes
I love as it wets me as if to hide my pains…
But I won’t ever love to see
That in your eyes it rains…

4. STARS IN THE NIGHT

Stars in the night
Shining so bright
Guide my beloved’s dreams
Light up their flights
That I, though distant
Could dwell in her dreams
And stay in her heart…

5. WAKING UP

As the morning wakes me up
And here’s the new day toucning me
I find the dreams haunting me
As I find your thoughts
Drinking in my coffee cup...

6. BABES

Your kiss has me all over
Mesmerized by its candidness
I seemed glued
To where I stood.
And my hearbeats sputtered.
That I now decided
I am all yours for keeps…

7. DANCING WOMAN

I saw you dancing to the crowd
You moved your supple body
In perfect rhythm to the music
And when our eyes met
I have thought it’s love
Glistening in your teasing eyes
I have thought your dance
Was an expression of your spirit…
Carefree, loving, and full of warmth.
And I’ve got that feeling that
You need me too as I need you
That you’ll love dancing
Only for me…
I will be your strength
We can be dance partners for life.
And yet,
In one shriek of laughter
You showed me
The fool that I am…
To think that you are weak---
And your dance is but a fleeting desire…
I realized,
The glimpse of love
I thought I saw in your eyes
Was only a reflection
Of your never ending lies…
