The city is twisted
the buildings are old...
the people yawning
are all so tired...
what lies deep inside
is a soul somewhere...
and every evil
is bought for a song.

The daylight barely
lasts for a while...
soon shadows come when
the night rolls on in...
as life lingers on
more shadows will fall...
the sunshine will fade
as the storms rage on.

The sun and the moon
surely guides our way...
barely fight the fight
and it's never good...
our rhyme and reason
will all truly fade...
when everything blurs
like shadows of life.

I enjoy the shadowy "gray" of this poem's consistent imagery throughout. Very well done. 5*
