Sleeping so sound,
Sleep the sleep of the dead,
Wife says I'm ridiculous
That it's all in my head.

But even if itwer' so
How could I tell?
How should I know?
Such dreams befell.

I dream in color
Or black and white.
Of making love
Or fists and fight.

Sometimes I'm naked,
Sometimes I'm clothed.
Somethings I'm loved,
Somethings I loathed.

Such flights of fancy,
Of now and then,
Or times before,
Of where and when.

Dreamt of mistakes
That I'd make right.
Of friends I'd keep,
Or those I'd fight.

In dreams I'd conquer,
Not run away.
Duel knights in armour,
And dragons I'd slay.

But then awake
Mundane the day.
Unlike sweet dreams,
I'm sorry to say.

Our dreams are given
From up above.
Some deal with life,
Some deal with love.

Some dreams so happy
Some dreams do scare.
Sometimes we daydream,
Without a care.
