Tears trickle down from clouds of emotion
In rivulets and rivers they run to the ocean
Passion and laughter, memories of devotion
I am here and will be here to stay
Wanting you, but you are so far away
Waking thoughts filter in through the haze of my dreams
Picture you and your warmth with me here in the seams
Of my life and the fabric of what each moment means
I can almost feel your touch
Wanting you so very terribly much
As I slide from the bed and pull the sheets off me
Your words fill my heart as I stumble for coffee
The taste of your lips like chocolate and toffee
I draw you near in my mind close to me
Wanting you, needing you, can’t you see?
Oh, oh, life soars and it sings
Comes crashing down harshly on so many dreams
Like surf on the cliff, like floodwater streams
These are words that I wrote for a song
I’m off to fly, do you dare come along?
I think of your skin as I stand in the shower
Its sensual softness, evocative power
fecundate mountain of Venus’s flower
Hear me breathe so hoarse with desire
Wanting you, bring to me your loving fire
As I dress for this day, your green eyes beholding
My loneliness grows, my confidence folding
Enough hollow pain – enough character molding
I am lost, beyond the means of reprieve
Wanting you, is there any hope to perceive?
Often time stands still while I wait for your presence
Seeking you and your smile like a sweet effervescence
An exotic perfume, a provocative essence
Please come near, here I want you to stay
Wanting you, but you are so far away.
Vivid images are formed by your words..of him wishing, hoping for his girl who is so far away...
I would love to hear you read this one outloud...such a nice flow !
Oh Dear El..your words touch right to the core of me.Time, distance, space no no the longing never goes away
RF said it so well;
felt the need and want come crashing through,
and, by yourself
incomplete
I think of your skin as I stand in the shower
Its sensual softness, evocative power
fecundate mountain of Venus’s flower

I like the flow and the visuals here.
Felt your need, and want come crashing through.
Yes, I know this poem is light and sensual,
just I did feel your overpowering emotion.
Just loved this feeling behind the words ~
