mixed to the max

I have very mixed feelings about this. The first two lines of every stanza range from good to excellent:Crows flutter above the rye/ Their intention's a mystery. The last two lines, trite to very bad:When you turned and said good bye/ Part of me died in misery. But that takes them out of context, in the context of the structure, I hear a very wistful ironic song. I can almost hear the music.

This poem...

made me dizzy and giddy, I feel like I've travelled the world in just a few minutes. The poem was delivered in a staccato style with disconnected elements and rapid-fire verses. But what does that matter if it was a winner.
