Ash,

A Trogloraptor is a small rare spider, recently discovered in an Oregon cave by a group of spelunkers. A Gradungulidae is a spider belonging to the same family that exists in Australia.

Damn, Mr. Vermont!

Almost wish you hadn't mentioned the spiders. Not what I pictured. Great Poem.

after your comment

in new poems this makes so much sense, it had a feel that you were expressing more than on the page but I couldn't see the wood from the trees, however being a non-educated hack I doubt I would have seen the message unless you titled the piece study on poetic intricacies and how to form a cult.

I still miss some of the lines I read in the very first version of this poem, but then I suppose I might not miss them had I read this version first. :) Still love "Grand dung diddly Dada", it's great sound and it points toward art. I like this poem, as it is, but I'm still confused as to how the reader is supposed to see that this is about poetry "cults". I did see fun being poked at academia in general, but... Nothing specific enough to point toward your intended meaning.
