To Be Domesticated

There lay a feeling in my heart
One so shun and taboo
Absence pierces like a dart
Making much is to made do
Desire to be held
Desire to weld
Into the arms of the strong and few

But what I am I know
Known since time flown
My weakness is not heart, but mind
Is backed by nothing that can be benign

One day he or she will come
And bless me with his or her wisdom
Or perhaps a they
Will find the way
And make my wedding day

All cozy and sweet
In a home of my own wheat
Grass grown on the mile
Free from guile

I sweep and clean and make eat
For them to build on meat
From the efforts of the cruel land
All the rocks turn to sand
And make what little I can

He will be something sought
Not something that can be caught
A willing life made by two
One where at night I cue

"Oh, what is wrong" he will ask
And at first I put on a mask
"Nothing," I say and wale
"Just the scent of sweet summer miles"

As the years go by
There will be times where I cry
And where you will spit and burn
Saulter by the ashes of water turned
Forever protected by the veil of time

The night will come, at least it will
And I'll be ready for the raven's quill
But nothing more could hurt me so
Than the loss of you who had to go

Then I will lay
And wonder through the memory of days
That never truly can go away
