The bleach-white sands shimmer in this southern sunlight,
The waves crash up and down the beach, dramatic.
The sea breezes blow gusty and warm.
The sky, a blue azure worthy only of dreams.

A huntress, long-legged, assured, strides into the surf,
Her goggles tight against her eyes, her soul
Eager for the prize.
Confidently, she splits the wave in her dive, drawn under the surface.

With the elegance of the dolphin, she glides beneath the waves,
This way and that. To left and to right, lovely searcher,
Never surrender your quest. I promise when you least expect,
The Mermaids will find you.
