Damn this is good. I'm suprised more people hadn't commented on it. So many great images and one really jumps out at me 'Grows fat on the meat of self-praise,' that so describes too many politicians.

excellent!

This poem was mentioned in today's new poem review in the Poetry Feedback & Discussion forum. This is a very interesting and thought-provoking poem. Thanks for the read.

I enjoyed reading this witty and thought provoking poem,Tzara.

The tone and imagery of the first two stanzas remind me of Marquez (esp lines like 'The flies laid out like corpses /

In a shuttered funeral home')

The sinisterness underpinning the description provides a fitting backdrop to the latter half of the second stanza and the wit of the third.
