(Chorus)
When I saw her dancing.
In the bright moonlight.
I knew I had to have her.
Somehow, I had to make that little girl all mine.

I started slowly and bid my sweet time.
Hoping one day, her hand.
Would slip right into mine.
...
But she was a young woman now.
And I was still just a boy.

I didn't think she knew.
I was waiting in her line.
When she told me to grow up.
If I wanted more of her time.

I knew right away.
The little girl was.
Bound to be mine.
Yeah, she was going.
To be all mine.
...
(Chorus)
...
Now, she treats my old Ford.
Just like it's her own.
Riding right there beside me.
Down here on the farm.

She cranks up the stereo.
And she sings right along.

She says she's just as happy.
As she can be.
Right here beside me.
...
(Chorus)
...
Now, there's not a day.
That seems to go by.
When I don't catch that sparkle.
In her blue eyes.

While she files away.
With her Emory board.
Sitting there next to me.
In that old Ford.

Oh, how I thank our dear, sweet lord.
For the blessing he has bestowed upon me.

(Chorus)
