I gave my heart to you
Not so long ago
I handed you the broken pieces
In a state of disrepair

I had given up
Trying to fix what others broke
Another word, another hole
No more thread to spare

So I handed you the pieces
My fate in your hands
You've handed me back strength
And the will of your command

You've handed me honesty
As well as misspoken words
And given me pleasures
But still the doubt grows.

I never want my heart back
It's used, broken, insecure
Fill the hole with rock instead
Maybe then I'll be whole.
