Mortality follows me
music for a fool's funeral parade
a macabre Mardi Gras
dancing on the Eve of Sacrifice
the children have turned down other streets
into strangers grown
with secret lives unkown
punch in punch out
punched unconscious by a myriad mundanities
waking up old
I turn to you for comfort
in the torture of our love
thanks for reading!

Very somber but well crafted. I have mixed feelings about "myriad mundanities" and actually think the poem is stronger without line 10.
