You have kept this story interesting I like the moat comment . I like the baby steps they are taking. Great read so far.
and explanations abound with the bourbon. TK U MLJ LV NV
And believable. I still think you have an agenda but are you being honest? Their finding each other again after Gail Marie has undergone self examination and change for the better smacks of Providence rather than coincidence.
The author knows how to tantalize us. Both the RACC and BTB crowds must be nervous at this point...
He loved her and she used him. Did she ever love him or was it just her old self finding someone that she could walk all over and not have to worry about caring. Caring hurts. She has only been hurt because she was found out and exposed. She never talks about the loneliness or heart break she would have felt if she had true feelings for him. It's always been about her. She felt bad about what she did to him but not because she lost his love.
One small slip and ouch!
I fear that is where our author has this story perched,
She is a new and improved woman with a reformed heart and conscience
or
She has figured how to be the same old same old and not get caught.
I liked the earlier comment about both the BTB and RAAC crowds being nervous.
Cor, a whole page about drinks before dinner, the friggin recipe for the dinner, and the drinks after dinner !
Very strange incongruous chapter.
Brilliant
I’m totally enjoying the story.
I’ve made plenty of mistakes in my life, and they are frozen in the past, unchangable and un removable.
The only way to redeem my mistakes is to fix the future, as Jim and Marie are doing.
