The clergy carried Carol back to a sofa and set her there to rest. Father Albert helped Bill up and set him beside his wife. He then called the others into their naked circle, and made a sign of the cross, blessing each of them before saying, "Go in peace." They gathered their clothes and left the room.
Father Albert knelt next to the two, and touched each on the forehead, rubbing into it, a sign of the cross. He quietly said, "We are here for either of you. Anytime." The priest left the two of them alone, closing the large oak door behind him.
