by Pixiehoff
This could have been written by Mr. C himself, but he would probably not have emphasised the lesbian aspect! You are a genius, Pixie. The story includes so many of his wonderful lyrics and ideas, and yet it is YOUR story, not his. Of course it deserves 5 stars.
P.S. One of the few true regrets in my long(ish!) lifetime is that I never got to see and hear him live. I have several of his albums, which I play regularly.
P.P.S. If you're going to turn this into a series, do you like the words and music of another favourite artist of mine - the Divine Ms. Joni Mitchell?
I am sure there are a lot of lyrics and references worked into this story, even though I don't recognize them. It reminds me of ... I don't know who or what, but it feels like a recital of a poem or a song to me.
It transported me, just like Bree and Suzanne were transported to a better place, away from disappointment and betrayal, toward something new and promising.
Dr beulahthemick; As usual, beautifully written, Pixie, how your characters seem to leap off the page is just brilliant, words evolve into real people, who breath, cry, laugh and have feelings, you talent is incredible. Another story, with new, but people we seem to know, excellent start more please, five from me as usual.
Why does Leonard Cohen come racing through my thoughts while reading this? I feel the pain, I lived the pain. I caused the pain.
Your words are amazing.
When a writer can make you feel the things you don't want to feel, how good is that writer?
I'm almost lost for words, Pixie. This is a superb piece of work. You know that I'm one of your great admirers and have always found your stories vastly entertaining, regardless of genre. I think that 'Suzanne' surpasses just about everything else you have written. If this is to become a series, you will need to work hard to maintain the standard that you've set here. A congratulatory five stars are yours.
Dear Pixie,
Congratulations Pixie 🎈🎊🎉, for reaching /exceeding the 1,000 plateau of “Faithful Followers.”
By amassing a total of 1,003 followers, in January, increases your “Followers” total by 2.3% over your year ending 2022 total.
At your current pace, I calculate a 27.6% “Faithful Follower” increase in 2023.
Sadly 🙍😭😿, your “Faithful Followers” will only see a “1K” number of Followers if they utilize Literotica’s new “Beta Page” to read your published works.
Only Literotica’s “Classic View” Member’s page, at https://search.literotica.com/?type=member&query=pixiehoff , provides the actual number of Miss Pixiehoff’s “Faithful Followers.”
Perhaps, Miss Pixiehoff’s “Latest Activity” page, that shows her number of Works, and her number of “Followers,” illustrates the exact number of her “Faithful Followers” and not the rounded off “1K” format.
Below Pixie, I have placed the highlights of your “Pixie Category” statistical published works’ data.
Next and final posting will be your “Story Series” statistical data that will provide you, your Loyal Readers, and your Faithful Followers the actual data, of their favorite Story series, that you published from 2019 thru 2022.
I want to personally thank-you Pixie for submitting my 2019 thru 2022 Calendar Year statistical data comments in your “Vital Statistics’ upload.
I appreciate the kind comments that everyone posted in the Vital Statistics’ upload.
And your Soulmate June (JPintraining) correctly questioned the significance of your “Calendar Year” statistics.
To you Pixie and everyone else; probably, nothing of importance with your statistical data.
However, Literotica hands out yearly awards 🏆🏵️🎖️to authors in various categories, and my data provides Literotica the required objective evidence as to why Miss Pixiehoff deserves an award in their “Lesbian Sex” category.
And to reply to the “amadeuserotic” comment, as to why I did not mention that Miss Pixiehoff took the time to comment and produce nearly half of the comments herself.
I wrote that in my 2021 award nomination, and to win any type of award requires more than one person to provide input, and everyone that commented on the “Vital Statistics” upload provided the additional support.
And thank-you “amadeuserotic” for noticing the significant and vital objective evidence, that I purposely left out.
Congratulations again Pixie for providing the Love, the Happiness, the Naughtiness, and of course "Cummys" to your "Loyal Readers,” your “Faithful Followers,” and, of course, for your “Soulmate” June

Notes:
1. Sadly🙍😭😿, Literotica's new "Beta Page" shows all numbers exceeding 1,000 in a non- accurate / rounded "1K" format, which Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access cannot recognize / calculate as a number. Only Literotica's "Classic View" page provides Pixie Hoff's exact "Followers" and "View" numbers.
2.The "HOT " 🔥 " Emoji symbol equals the Red Square "H" found on Pixiehoff's story page. Unfortunately, Literotica's Red "H" symbol is not posted in an Emoji recognizable format.
Suspect your Pappa loved the songs/music of Suzanne Vega — lyrics so moving; so poetic. I enjoy reading as well as listening to her pieces. If mistaken that would not as you say hinder this beautifully poignant piece that flows like lyrics to a song. Yes, by all means, you must have more to share with the characters you’ve created — Suzanne and Bree, and maybe most of all Jane. She is the one with the frayed, worn, torn blue coat and the troubled eyes. The imagery is mesmerizing and the inclusion of Cohen’s song lyrics is perfect for this piece. The last four lines of Suzanne unforgettable. Aside: you refer to Cohen’s song as a poem; I also believe that song lyrics are so often poetic, though some argue the song lyrics and poems are different creations, maybe only subtly so.
Thank you Olwen. I was lucky enough to meet Mr C, whom my Papa knew. I am glad you think that I was able to own the story and yet use the lyrics - that was what I was aiming for. Joni Mitchell - well there could be a big yellow taxi on its way xxxxx
Thank you, Wolfie - the lyrics are "borrowed" from Leonard Cohen's "Suzanne" - but as I said, and you show, the story can be appreciated for itself xxxxx
Thank you so much Dr beulahthemick - and I hope you are continuing to get better xxxxx
Thank you SO much Maonaigh - your words mean so much to me. I have been looking to expand my horizons, and this was the way I chose, but as ever, I was doubtful - so your encouragement is MOST welcome xxxxx
Thank you, Migbird. Papa was a younger member of that set, and has his own stories - and in the end, well, I guess I listened and somehow took something from those stories xxxxx
I first thought of Judy Collins as she sung Suzanne. I didn't know that "Mr C" wrote it. Good story as usual coming from you Pixie.
5/5
J
And yet….. there was soooo much left unsaid and unresolved. The story could easily be left right here, with no promise or guarantee of any future explanation, or reconciliation between Suzanne and Jane, which would mirror how they apparently left things; And yet…… I reeeaaally want to know more about the woman who looks older in the blue raincoat with the tear in the shoulder. And I want better for her. Why DIDN’T Suzanne try??? Why DID Bree try??? This story is haunting me like a ghost mere moments after reading it. And yet….. the characters are so alive and human. Brilliant stuff Pixiehoff. 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
The musical references are lost on me, yet I am moved by the lyrical writing which creates a vibrant visual and emotional vignette that is deeply moving.
Your short stories are powerful and this one excels in visceral impact; the characters are deeply entwined.
Wonderful!
Thank you, Anonymous - it sounds like I achieved the effect I was aiming for - a mix of poetry and prose xxxxx
Dr beulahthemick; Thank you for kind thoughts and words Pixie, I have six more radiotherapy treatments, three blood-tests and at least another ten meetings with my Macmillan team. How I would have got through this without them, I honestly don't know, everyone of them are just saint's, they care for you, help solve any problems you come across and if you sometimes are reduced to crying, there's a shoulder and a hug. The last months, (I can't believe that this started early- mid September) has been life changing, after twenty one years as a teacher, Head of Dept, Head of 6th Form and finally Deputy Head of the school, I handed my notice in the beginning of term, I retire end of the Christmas term in December. I will be forty five (birthday in mid- November) and honestly, I can't take anymore, I'm burnt out, finished, had enough. I'm lucky, my late husband had invested well and I'm left with an almost six-figure income, without working, so I'm going to be a `hand's on granny' and enjoy my life, however long or short it will be, hopefully long and fore-filled. So, do not forget people, get your children vaccinated and have your `smear test' and if you test positive for HPV, make sure to have them as regularly as you can, it can and will save your life.
Hi Pixiehoff, I saw you had a new story and thought I'd read it. Your note before the story about your father's favorite singer-songwriter hooked me immediately. I'm 90% sure that I know it before finishing the first paragraph. I love it so far, and will continue. I also have to pay you a compliment on your LS focus on that many works, wow! Okay I'll stop now. RT
Brilliant Hot and Sexy,,, Yes!
Hallo Pixie!
Queen Jackie and I love your story "A Day with Suzanne." it's just as beautifully written as all of your other stories!... By the way Love, your story title, there is a song by the same name "A Day with Suzanne." by Leonard Cohen. He was one of my favorite singers.
You wrote one line that really caught my eye ["Me too, one reason the book sang to me."] _ It reminded me of Emma, a bisexual woman, I got involved with while in Europe, Emma was a beautiful woman but a bit scatterbrained... one day a man showed up at our door yelling where the fuck is Emma, get out of the way I'm Peter her husband!... Aw the husband, that was the last time I got involved with bisexuals, if she wants to straddle the fence, then have fun just not with me!
(OH AND "RanDog025" THE ONLY THING BORING HERE IS YOU... NOW-YOU-GOT-IT ?!)
Thank-you 5-Stars and 5-Orgasms.
The Black Queen and Gay Kat.
Pixie: I love your beautiful, mesmerising, intoxicating writing style. The intense feelings are made more raw by the delightfully spare delivery.
You have a unique voice, particularly your prose, and I love your honest sound, your conversational delivery, and your introspect.
The story development is so professional, like a casual walk. Before long, you realize that you know what's going on. Everything just seeps in like an elixir.
A lovely read
