Now, is it a dress or a skirt? The description make no sense. If it's a dress, the hem falls below, yes I get that.

Defy hands? Oh, fat fingers.

Do these tell you something? You're not writing to a forgiving friend, you're writing to the world.

Still, three stars but needs a gallon of polish.

Needs work. Best advice is read more (any genre) and analyze what you read.

Personally I read almost anything. I read technical manuals, “How To” books,

Science Fiction, Adventure, Mysteries, and so on. Then I analyze what I read and try to see WHY I liked, or didn’t like, that particular book, manual, story, etc.

Then when I have to write I have a bit of a feel for how I should write “this piece”.
