This is a decent part 1 of the story. Where the rest of it? I can only give u 2 points for half a story.

Net, sweet, and complete.

C'mon folks, it's a day, not a life.

It's always the job. Man works too hard, woman sleeps with her boss. Marriage self-destructs. Then we wonder, was it worth the extra five bucks an hour?

AnonymousAnonymousover 2 years ago

She needs her job until after the divorce is final

Enjoyable short read, concise and to the point , no history and what happened next scenario, a simple actions and consequences story: just enough for Anonymous, who cannot differentiate between FICTION and FACTUAL, to have his/her usual gripe

AnonymousAnonymousalmost 2 years ago

Rushed but a good start for a story.

AnonymousAnonymousalmost 2 years ago

Your stories are good but need better endings, not left hanging

OdessaLesOdessaLesalmost 2 years ago

Woah, what happened to the ending, it didn’t have one.

Well good first chapter, but where's the rest of the story?

AnonymousAnonymousover 1 year ago

Brief

AnonymousAnonymousover 1 year ago

I liked it. But I agree, a part two would be good. 5 stars.

desecration- Your comment can be taken, one of two ways. If you are insinuating that she was justified in cheating, because he was working hard to make a life for them, I disagree. Go around and ask 20 to 30 something single women, how many guys are out there, marriage material, who have a good job, and a work ethic? Not too many.

If you insinuate she was sleeping with the boss for more money, that is also a myth, in today’s world. HR departments closely control the pay scales, and amount of raises an individual can get. Sleeping with the boss, is usually something women do because they are enamored with his power, and personal wealth. Maybe he spends HIS money on her. Maybe she thinks, she could “ trade up”. If he recommends her for a promotion, it will be more work, and responsibility. If she is unqualified, it will weigh the company, and her boss down. A lot of companies have morals policies in place. I will guarantee you, they could care less about who is screwing who. It’s all about protecting themselves, when it comes to light. It also gives them a way to remove anyone who gets promoted, or keeps their job due to their work between the sheets. Usually, these people are a drag on morale, and do not contribute like the rest of the staff. If the boss was serious about continuing their relationship, the first move would be to get them out of the company, or at least his department. That, is reality.

Short and sweet. What more is there to say?

Forgot the bad day part - where he finds out that he has a couple of diseases that she got from the scumbag...

SorchakSorchakabout 1 year ago

What of the description didn't you people understand? It says: "A flash story about cheating and consequences." A flash story, also known as flash fiction, "is a fictional work of extreme brevity that still offers character and plot development." - Wikipedia

So there is no need to finish the damn story. Nor is it too short.

Liked it, but site would not let me vote. Also, very well-written. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I liked the fact that she and her lover got fired. I wish there would have been more destruction for both of them, like jail time. Like being sued by the company they worked for for lying. I don't want to give up on this author yet until I read a few more stories. I felt it should be longer, but the author did say it was a Flash story, so I can't complain on how long it was.

Too bad the boss fired Terri... that will probably mean Rob will have to pay her more alimony.

After The first 10 or so of your story list I only have one question why don’t you ever finish the story

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

Neat little tale. Says all that needs be said.

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

4 Stars as the wife should have kept her job. . But I would have made sure that her lover's wife knew about it also.

Seems incomplete.

Not a bad start to a story, just too short and kind of unfinished.

Do you ever write an average story? No! Always great reading. I see some comments from Annoymous with JPB tagged at their end. Hoping someone isn’t doing you wrong

Just a Dirty Old Man (of course I have been one since I was thirteen)who likes to write about the things that I've seen and been exposed to in my life. There is a little bit of me in almost all of my stories and in some of them there is quite a lot. I leave it to the reader ...
