Wow, this has to be the best damn story I have read so far in this place. So well written, and full of vivid imagery, that I could easy visualize Marylyn. Being very much like the supporting character in this story, I know all too well what it is like to have one's fiery spirit almost fizzle out of life by a ram rod, too narrow minded man who wants to own what he can't handle. So bravo! Hoping there will be more to read soon. Bravo, once more and don't stop writing.
